I’ve been a therapist In Inverness since 2002 and have
delivered treatments within clinics, hospitals, nursing homes and
residential care homes as well as in clients own homes, my own therapy room and at many health fairs and charity events.
Since having my first son in 2008 I work only from
my home treatment room with the occasional mobile appointment by special
arrangement. Prior to this I had clinical practices at the
Centre for Complementary Therapies and Health & Harmony Healthfood shop in Nairn. I
also worked within nursing homes and mobile with a number of local
organisations for adults with learning disabilities.
I started
my journey into the world of natural therapies in the year 2000 with
Reflexology when living in Cheshire. It helped a number of my own
health problems
and helped me cope with a very stressful job and living away from my
family. A year afterwards I began
training to become a reflexologist myself and it changed my life
completely. Once on my journey I soon found Reiki and Ear Candling
(following an ear infection), then the Metamorphic Technique (which freed
me from a lifelong fear of daddy longlegs!). After I moved home to the
Highlands in 2002 I trained in Holistic Massage (then Hot Stones) and undertook my Reiki
Master and Teacher training.
I have a special interest
in Fertility, Pregnancy and Women's Health and have undertaken specialist reflexology
training in Fertility, Pregnancy & Childbirth.
As a
therapist I have experience of working with a wide range of health problems including complex
illnesses (eg autoimmune / nervous system problems), mental health problems, fertility, menstrual & menopausal
problems, all stages of pregnancy, digestive problems, stress and its many guises;
and lots of sore backs & necks and numerous aches &
pains.
However I do treat holistically to allow you to heal on
every level, so the label your symptoms have is less important and I
will offer the treatment I feel is best for you or refer you to another
practitioner if I feel they can help more.
I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists and you will find me on their website (click on the picture below) under the 'find a therapist' sections.
